On a more serious note, I can't really tell what it is. Looks like some sort of algae, but again, I'm not really sure.

i get some of that sometimes i think it only grows on certain things like rubber or plastic... i have a fulval 305 and it only grows on certain pars of the valves

when I flipped my drift wood over this was all over the bottom not sure what it is think its some kind of bacteria my para pleco loved it tho i dont think it lasted an hour
