What is this fish?

His kill count was around 6 or so. Some of these fish were expensive and the Lep was only $5 and he was already 12" when I bought.....big ass mistake. Now I know why the lfs want to get rid of it at cheaper price.

I had one an he was a nasty fin nipper. Had to get rid of it once it reached about 5" super aggresive

I was about to say the exact same thing. If it's free, you have to wonder why.

very aggressive fish. almost lost my lungfish's tail because of a leporinus. they love to nip.

I feel your pain..lol.. I have one that's a good 12". Mean as hell!!!! I have him in with my monster jardini(24") and a couple of ck's(18"-22").. He holds his own . I've never had him kill anything but he doesn't hesitate to nip at my big jar or ck's. The lfs I got him from had him priced at $20 until he completely destroyed one of their oscars. I saw the carnage first hand. The manager then asked if I wanted him, free of course . This fish is mean as hell and tough as nails.

I feel so bad that I had to put it in 10gal tank because I was so pissed off after he killed 6th fish. He spend his days in 10gal tank because lfs won't let me return him to...but that is understandable since this is third lep I tried to return to. So I have no opinion but put down the lep....that was years ago. My sister's cat had seafood dinner that night.
