What is this fish?

Hi, this is my first post. I went to the pet store today and bought these two fish someone turned in. Neither the previous owners nor the person working at the pet store knew what these are. Can anyone identify these? I have a 55 gallon tank that has a larger Oscar (he seems to be chasing these guys around a lot), 3 smaller silver dollars, a tin barb, and 2 gouramis. Will these make good tank mates? The pet store recommended this site and I am really glad to have found it. Thank you in advance.

Looks like a Vieja well Paraneetroplus as they're now called, can't tell what kind though. It's definitely a CA/SA cichlid hopefully a mod will move it so you can get more opinions on specifics.

Also your tank is over stocked as is and these guys get big, you need to upgrade your tank. As for the Oscar in time my guess is he'll be the one getting chased by your new additions.

I was thinking that it might be a Hartwegi as well considering the blueish coloration and red spots on the face. I was hesitant to suggest it though as the colors are so faded and the picture was blurry.

It's definitely not a flowerhorn it doesn't have the tell tale "flowers". The fish pictured has a bar that's common on Vieja's/ Paraneetroplus. Also the body shape is completely different from a flowerhorns.
