What is this fish?

First pick it looked like a smallmouth bass. then I leaded towards bluegill. Maybe I see warmouth too.

Not tall enough of a body to be a bluegill unless it's a hybrid with a green or Warmouth and that side is dominant. If it is a Warmouth X Green then that's a fish I've been looking for for a long time, Warmouth are my favorite sunfish but unless they're a hybrid with something else you can't own them in PA.

Bottom line is it's something in the "sunfish" family. Probably put it in the feeder stock tank to kill any fry. Common move in ponds where regular comets are reproducing out of control.

I didnt see any warmouth traits on this fish so I don't believe it was a warmouth. If it was a warmouth, the fins and the body is supposed to be mottled even as a fry.

No it is not a small mouth bass as its supposed have 3 colored caudal fin (white, yellow and black). Also smallmouth bass are not found in Florida where the feeder fish come from and they don't reproduce in muck ponds.

I stand corrected. Actually i'm sitting, but corrected nonetheless.

Still looks like a small mouth to me.
