i initially threw it in the tank a few weeks ago. one of my bichirs is 17 inches and just chased and chased it for about an hour. i really think she would have eaten it overnight so i took it out of the tank for about two weeks. i put it back in along with two other cichlids to see what would happen. the gourami ignores the cichlids altogether and the bichirs so far havent eaten them so i think i am good. and if not i will put her back in the sump and try to rehome her.
