What is this, is it harmful?

Just looks like it needs a good scrapping to me. On acrylic though be careful what you use. :)

I get that kind of build up on my hob filters. If you take a fine mesh net, and run it over it, it should fall into the net and you can pull most of it out. It also won't scratch your acrylic. Once you get most of it, use an acrylic safe algae pad to remove the rest. I also suggest cleaning your filter, and a really good gravel vaccing. :)

yup its algae
use a mag float and then do a water change

K did a waterchange last night and.......they are backkkkkkkkkkkk!!! maybe we didnt clean good enough :( They are creepy. I know algae but just never seen it look like this maybe we can clear it all off and clean it really well and do another water change. its makin the tank look like poop!!! :)

Did you clean the filter? Hmmm, I dunno...have any snails???

nope no snails we gonna try doin another scrub and water change we can clean the filters as well hopefully that may work its kinda creepy!

You need to try to remove as much as you can from your tank if you want to lessen the numbers......:D
