What is this? Midas?

ive answered many id help threads so now i need everyones help I got this guy/girl today, i didnt quite understand the story behind him but he was in a tank with about 30 brothers and sisters. The tank said midas and red terror. Its obviously not a red devil...but is it a midas? if its a midas it doesnt look pure? anyways. HALP! any ideas?
sorry for the cruddy pics im about to throw the camera into a lake , its sucks so bad!

i didnt notice at the store but he seems really beat up too.

entirely possile. The story is supposedly that the owner of the fish store has a bunch of cichlids in her 900g pond thingamajig. Why im trying to figure out is what did they mean by red terror? some of the babies had a different body shape but were orange, some were orange and black, and then there were these guys. There were lots of sizes too so imguessing different ages. So im not really sure what these are mixes of? by red terror im guessing she meant mayan maybe?

looks like a hybrid Its got Red devil in not Midas thats for sure

Its got a small tail spot so it could be red devil X festae but i don't know if a mayan hybrid would have a large or small tail spot but i would assume a large spot

it does have a festae look , whats throwing me off is the face. it looks really elongated, to long for a pure midas. i hope after it has acclimated it will show better colors that will tell more of what it could be. Is there anything difinitve markings that i should look for to tell red terror from midas and such?

Youre right about the face its very long im thinking midas x devil.

Its probably just juvenile, i bought two fish that look the same. Now one is peeling into an orange creamsicle and it looked just like that. So you never know when you buy in that type of situation.

this one is about 3" im hoping to get better pictures. ive had juvenile red devil and midas before but they didnt look like this. also u cant see in the picture very well but its has a spot in the tail , some very faint bars, and dots along the side with one big wide dot in the middle thats surrounded by speckles like a blue ram. weird little sucker

what do you mean impossible? Red Terrors can most certainly cross with a Midas, and if it has the caudal spot, and the slight spangling like Festae, then this could very well be the cross.

no read carefully its says entirely POSSIBLE

it definitely has midas/red devil in it's blood but the spot on it's tail says hybrid. Possibly a festae or mayan.
