What is this? Midas?

im gonna try to get the full story tomorrow. I think what happened is that the pond has all three in the pond and some came out pure midas and then some ohter pairs bred with red terror. My issue is im wondering if the owners knew exactly the difference between a mayan and a true red terror.

based on the angle of his head I think he is a hybrid that may be half snook...take a look at his head and tell me it doesn't look like a snook.

yeah it does look snookish never even thought of that. It realy a wild card considering i dont know if they even had snook in this pond they were bred in.

well the outcome so far of what it could possibly be all means aggressive fish he does look like he'll be a butt

he reminds me of the fish in that old tom and jerry cartoon where tom is up against a huge fish with big teeth

just my 2 cents it looks like a MIDEVIL crossed with a festea inother words a mutt but there aint nothin wrong with that. i had a midevil that looked alot like that, then it pealed into a straight orange coloration.
