What is this on my Buccochromis rhoadesii?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It appears to be a pressure sore, a.k.a a "chimple" is that fish aggressive towards things outside it's aquarium?

I haven't noticed any aggression. He does dig pretty deep into the sand when feeding. How do I get rid of it?

It usually goes away on it's own, but only when the fish discontinues the habit that caused it.

Wow I'm jealous. I've been looking for a rhoadesii for months and nothing! If u ever decide to breed him let me know!!:) thank you

Thanks. They're wild caught. The male is growing fast and eats everything. The female has that golden yellow on her. She's beautiful.

I've never seen one with the orange/redish color. Very cool.

The arowana guys have told me to place plants on the ends of the tank and sooner or later they will realize they cant swim past the plants. Don't know if it works but can't hurt.
