Mile High in Northern AZ, baby!~
I just got this pair of Jags.
They are in a 46g BowFront by themselves.

Water parameters are straight, with 8.0ph

When I was editing some images of them, I see the Female has some peculiar tiny spots on her...

The Male doesn't seem to have them.

They are 5-6" and will be the only occupants of a 225g in the near future...

Please help id the possible problem and include the treatment...Thanks in advance....

After years of keeping large SA preds and cats, I am going to reduce all my stock down to these 2 Jags and just one 225g tank...time to enjoy the hobby and not be a total fish whore slave to feeding and cleaning...

Tanks You... I have never seen it like that, so small, matter of fact, I can't remember when I have ever seen ich...

I raised the temp another 2 degrees to 85f, and did 46 teaspoons of salt.
I'll repeat till I have 3 teaspoons per gallon. Lucky they are the only ones in that 46g tank...

Is there anything else I should do?

increase aeration if possible with temps that warm as the dissolved oxygen will be lessened.

add Melafix prevents secondary infection helps to speed the healing process and reduces stress

i say do lots of small water changes and use alot of aquarium salt and meds, it happend to my jag too.

Salt is now at 1tbs. per gallon.
Temp is at 85f and climbing.

I added a venturi tube to the powersweep powerhead &
adjusted the spraybar on the dual bio-wheel return for more areation.

No signs of stress
mater of fact they have been more active and are eating more.

I haven't seen them flash or scrape themselves against anything.

I figure 5-7 additional days of treatment ought to have it wiped out.

oh yeah and I dosed the tank with "Rid-IcH" (Malachite Green and Formalin) as per Kordon's directions...

Fingers crosssed.!!
