My green terror had ich before use a type medication and it was gone in 48 hours
Acording to the experts, Ich has a life cycle of more than 48 hours...
What did you use, and at what dosage did you administer it?

I'll post some pix of my Jags progress tomorrow, if I can get them to slow down and pose for me... ;)

As promised, pix w/o ich...Woooooooo Hoooooooo~

Now, to get all the eggs that will hatch from the stuff that fell off their finz.

I figure 5-6 more days of high temp, salted water and Rid-ich ought to be a good place to start...;)

I would treat for 2 weeks after last sign of infection since you are using salt and heat. Then gradually remove the salt through your regular water changes.

I am dosing with Kordon's "Rid-Ich" (Formalin and MalachiteGreen) every 24 hours as directed. Are you saying to continue that for 2 weeks after the last sign of the visible spots on the fish?

I figured after that, I can bring down the temp a degree a day and do my regular weekly 33% W/C's and gravel vac'ing...

for some reason I thought you were treating with heat and salt. I have never used rid-ich
Yeah, I was using both treatments, my thinking being to give the iCh the ol' 1-2 punch...Thanks msjinkzd all the same...

they, the Jag's, are doing great, with no outward signs of those small white grains they were showing two and a half days ago...Now I hope to rid the tank of ALL the hatchlings and crap from them...

nice job, looks like you're doing everything right . . . last time I had Ich I treated with Kordon's Ich*Attack - - after failing with other cures - - and it worked great

Jags look great . . . wish I had a large enough tank for something like that

Thanks, they are coming around and rising to eat right in front of me now...they'll be hand feeding really soon for sure.

After keeping all kinds of Arowana, Large cats and a host of other Monsters, I'm going to settle the Jags in, and keep just that pair in a
225g (72" x 30" x 24")
I'm going to go sponge filters w/powerheads, UV, and a drip w/c system.
I'm going for the silent CA chiclid species tank and get back into the mello enjoyment of a peaceful serene setup...

I love to watch them intereact with each other, they are a comical pair at times...;) :D :headbang2
