what is this shrimp

on my land i have a water hole and in the summer these little guys start swiming around. i cought a whole lot and feed them to my fish and they love them. so my question is what are these guys?i couldnt find anythig about them anywhere. oh and this isnt my picture becuse i didnt have my camra on me. its the one in the red circle not the triops.

thats ironic me and my freinds have been coalling them water fairys. and thanks for the info now they wont be a mystery to me.

wait so you got these out of a water hole in your backyard and fed them to your fish without knowing??:confused::irked:
 
Do you feed the triops to i would stop feeding the fairy shrimp and feed more triops as they are endangered
 
heck, put the triops in a 5 with light sandy substrate. They'll breed and apparently also have their own AQuaria Cult Following. Check the Youtube vids of them.
