what is this shrimp

on my land i have a water hole and in the summer these little guys start swiming around. i cought a whole lot and feed them to my fish and they love them. so my question is what are these guys?i couldnt find anythig about them anywhere. oh and this isnt my picture becuse i didnt have my camra on me. its the one in the red circle not the triops.

try breeding the fairy shrimp. Or send me some so I can breed them and won't have to spend money on red cherry shrimp.

Fairy shrimp is a type of shrimp, not a species. Brine shrimp are a fairy shrimp. There are a lot of different species in the U.S. most of which are not endangered, though some are. I do not know what kind you have, you'd probably have to bring a few to someone who knew the animals in the area well or something. If there is a college in your town I'd ask the biology dept.

wait so you got these out of a water hole in your backyard and fed them to your fish without knowing??

its more 80 acers of land with a water whole my grandpa made long ago. and about feeding them to my fish whats the problem? besides the fact that they could be indangerd (i say could because i havent checked, not douting it but i will look it up to ba on the safe side)

if i could send you some i would, but they would be dead. no joke they cant be tranferd the 30 miles back to town without dying.
