What is this stuff sticking on my aquarium glass?

I notice this gunk algae looking stuff is always on my glass. Also whenever I do water changes the next day I get more and more of it.

I clean this all the time and it gets annoying as it always comes back all over the tank.

Can somebody tell me what it is? Any ways to avoid them coming back?

Hard to see really. I see water spots on the outside of the glass...
Its probably rapid algae or bacteria growth. What are the water perameters?
 
if they look like little white flower things then idk what they are but i always get them when cycling my tank and once i get fish in and everythin balances back out they disappear. but idk what they are.
 
If the white flower things are like 1-3mm long, with a single stalk and maybe 4 - 8 'tentacles' at the end, and mostly transperant or light brown/green, they are probably hydra. Usually hitch-hike on plants from LFS. Generally not much of a nuisance unless you have shrimp or fish fry. Overfeeding causes population explosions. Just hit the glass with an algae scraper pad to remove them from it. I know blue gourami will eat them, mine are constantly picking them off the glass/plants/decorations.

Hahah well i tried my best focusing the camera on the glass but i suck taking pictures hahahaha..

that sounds about right. i tried cleaning them but its a pain so i just wait till they go away
 
They might not ever go away entirely unless you bomb the tank with chemicals. Many have has success using Fenbendazole. Basically a canine de-wormer. This will give ya some further reading on it.

It was effective when I used it the first time, then my dumb self went and bought more plants. :P If you do decide to go this route, I'd suggest ordering the liquid solution online, as opposed to buying the granule packets from petco or something. The stuff doesn't disolve in water very well, even crushing the granules into powder wasn't very effective. If I need to do it again, I'll be putting the stuff in a Magic Bullet (Mini Blender) for 30 minutes with boiling water.

Gourami take care of them though, so if that's an option I'd go for that. :)
 
idk i just fed less and did water changes and it goes away. i have had it on all my tanks. it always does the same thing. but after it goes away completely it never really comes back unless i way over feed or dont do any watercahanges or somethin like that to spike the amonia. my thoughts are tho is if you leave them alone they will eat the amonia and pull the levels down faster than if you cleaned them off
idk just my idea
