I don't think I would pay 800 for it....600 TOPS!!!!

You know you want it...

No seriously I agree. But I infact wouldn't even pay 600 for it.. Because I would price it in value to me similar to a 125/150 which is only 18" wide and limits you, and I wouldn't need the fancy stand, etc. I think were trying to figure out what it's worth to a normal person who wants it? That's why I said 800.00ish.. The 180 will be much nicer to invest in, and a better fishkeepers tank.

That's the tough part, everyone is looking for someone different. This would be going in a dining area. It has pergo floors and is adjacent to the kitchen with granite counter tops etc. So the stand to me is worth some value as the tank would have to fit the decor of the room. I do agree that 6-800 is definitely the range that "seems" fair. Everything is just priced so high around here. I looked at a glass 120 w/ stand and the owner was firm at 550.00.

going from experience I opted for a 150tal for my first tank, I say pass this one like a smelly turd and go for your wide tank. My next tank which I will have in early summer will be a 300wide....

Yeah, the nice thing about the 24" wide is it won't limit my choice down the road should I opt for some bigger fish to stock it with.

My tank is the same dimensions, I got it used with everything but the stand for $400. Yeah I'd rather a 2' wide tank (or 30", or 3' LOL) but I thought it was a decent deal. I think I'll eventually want more filtration than what it came with (seller kept Africans, my stock will grow a little bigger than the mbunas would). That tank in the pic looks either taller or not as long as mine...to get an idea what it should look like the proportions are just about the same as a standard 55 (just bigger all around of course).

With the stand I'd maybe pay $600, that's if it's got overflow like mine did, or if it has really nice high-end filtration or something to make it special.
