Just got back from vacation. I was gone for four days. My daughter feed my fish for me. I think she feed them a bit much, but they ate. I just got done with the water changes and noticed on two of the tanks that there is what looks like air bubbles on the glass. At a closer look they are some sort of algea. Tried to get a pic of it put you can't really see. I was just wondering if someone knew what it was. I was thinking that there may have been too much lights on while I was gone.

I think they're called Hydras...but they appear in sub par water conditions. Scrape them off the glass and keep up with maintenance as usual.

One of the tanks is a Discus tank that normally gets WC every other day of about 50% The other is very lightly stocked 110. both had a change just minutes before I left. Just finished with some test and everything seems fairly well. I can tell that they were indeed over fed. I am thinking the combination of overfeeding and too much light caused this.

ive seen those in my 20g backup when I had some feeders in it. I took out like 5g for a water change got the bubble things off replaced with good water and it went away. the water tested alright and everyone was acting fine.

Yeah all the fish seem to be fine. I just found out that one of the dogs stepped on my power strip so both tanks were off for about 5 hours.
