What is this?

I bought this Jag a few weeks ago and she is do realy well otherwise. When I bought her, she had what I thought was a little tumor on her right pectoral fin. Over the past few weeks it seems that it popped or got scraped and then grew back to its round shape in a matter of days. In the past few days my Oscar has a growth on one of his fins now. I did some research and came across columnaris, or maybe air bubble disease but im not sure and I would like to be before i start treating.

Thanks in advance!

well, what kinda condition is your tank in? Frequent water changes, 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, pH, stuff like that.
There are many possibilities, good tank hygiene usually helps cure them. Also, how long did you quarantine the JD? What size tank is it?

This is a common question always asked, and frankly frustrating in this situation considering that it is implied that the JAG "managuense" (not JD) had this condition prior to entering my tank.. The tank is in good condition and it is a 225G. I am not looking for someone to tell me why the jag has it, IE: my water conditions. Im looking for some one to help me ID it so I can begin proper treament.

Thank you for your imput.

I know it is a commonly asked question, and that's for very good reason. If you want sound advice, give sound facts. I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll help you. we cannot give a good diagnoses without the facts, which you seem unwilling to divulge.
Good luck, Hope all goes well for your managuense.

I appologize if i came off rude but it seems as though you didnt even read my post. You just through up the commonly asked question to get numbers on your post count..
Look, the tank has 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, between 10-20 nitrate, PH is about 8 the tank like i said before is a 225G and I do 30% water changes weekly. The Jag had the problem before it got to my tank SO it was not cuased by my water quality (hense my frustration)

I don't think it's a parasite and definitely not columnaris (which looks like white cotton stuck on the fish). I've seen what you're talking about quite a few times on different fish of mine. Almost like a tiny cyst that goes away on it's own. I don't know if it's where they bump themselves, poke themselves or if it's a fish-equivalent of acne. You can look up "Lymphocystis" but I really don't think that's what it is either.
Seriously-I wouldn't medicate, I don't think it's anything to worry about. Keep up the good water and give it a chance to heal over. What the Oscar's got may not even be the same thing.
Edit: Gas bubble disease is too much CO2 in your water. It's something that comes on fast during a water change or something like that. It's not what your Jag or Oscar has.

Awesome man, thanks for the imput. Good point about the Oscar having something nonrelated. Ill see how it goes.

Could be a cyst.

Yeah I hope that is all it is. If that is what my jag has then it should go away on its own right?

as noted above by Twisted Penguin, I would look into possible lymphocystis, but I couldn't diagnose that just from the pix . . . if is lympho, it is relatively harmless (if unsightly) and may go away on it's own if you maintain good water quality, which it appears you are doing
