They're temperate species living in Yangtze river, China so they may likely survive the winter climate. Too bad these are close to extinction due to heavy poaching and demand by aquarium trade. I don't see the aquarium trade somehow contributing to their survival except the opposite. I already felt bad enough just seeing these sold in stores.
