Sirens do fine in warm water and are interesting captives. They are similar to axolotls but lack hind legs and have a more elongate, eel-like shape. There are four currently recognized species; the two Pseudobranchus species are usually under 6" long, Siren intermedia is typically 10-14", and Siren lacertina is one of the world's largest amphibians, sometimes growing to over 3 feet in length. There are several recent threads on them in this forum discussing care and tankmates. They are only sporadically available, but you will find some eventually if you keep your eye on the classifieds.
