The owner of my super awesome lfs had no idea what type of catfish this is. He was pretty beat up, and she took him in. She asked us to take it home, heal it up, figure out what it was and let her know. Any guesses? I've never seen anything like it.

No, he isn't an iridescent. He's slate blue in color, and his eyes are about the size of dimes, give or take. He is about 6" in length, and very thin. He was in with a bunch of cichlids who enjoyed beating him up. I'm going to try to get more pics. Isn't he the strangest thing you've ever seen?

Its a catfish no doubt and have u seen a larger ir shark?? No matter What it is it needs serious help!!! Clean water

Here is another pic of him. Interestingly, he has those strange bulgy eyes, and they move they way puffer eyes move.
Even my other fish want to know what he is. I notice that he should have an anal fin, but it's been torn off by something. He also uses his pectoral fins like little arms. He has smooth whiskers, not like a syndo. It's the strangest thing ever.
