What is this?

There is no previous owner. He was taken in by the lfs, and for whatever reason, no one knew what he was. The store owner, who's been in business for at least 20 years, has no clue what he is, either. No one has ever seen the likes of him.
 
He looks Like some sort of channel cat and Cory mix! That is freaking awesome! Does it feed on the bottom or will it come up for food? Feeding habits might also help to describe the breed. But all the looks to me pound to a channel cat and Cory but im pretty sure that's not even possible. Good luck

Odd looking! Maybe post up in the catfish section? Those guys are very good at identifying and they never leave the dark (catfish section lol), so they wouldn't see this thread ever.
 
He totally has the whiskers of a giraffe cat, but not the long face, and his body isn't quite right. I'm going to take Egons advice and post him in the catfish section.
He eat well right away, but he really didn't know how to compete with my pigs. He mostly waited for things to hit the bottom, then did his best.

Cool!! You're spot on. I looked for his particular species, and the closest I've found so far is Chrysichthys cf. nigrodigitatus, but that still isn't quite right.
