It's a mix. Definetely not a JD. Looks like there's some Convict in him. Is it a thrill guessing what kind of fish you have? Or would you rather have a pure Cichlid and try to raise it based on the facts rather than playing the guessing game throughout the fishes life. Honestly, just curious. Not trying to be rude.

the head shape would be different if there was jag in it. I def see some convict in that JD... the position of the eyes especially look like that of a convict.
