Okay found out. It's coraline algeae. Got a pencil urchin to help with that. And a new light bulb.

Coraline algae is desirable and not something you dont want. It's very colorful and a sign that your parameters are in check. Congrats!!

+1 in time I believe coraline algae turns purple as well. Unless im confusing it with a different algae I cant remember. Been a while since I searched up salt/marine things aside from fish.
 
There are some purple spots in the tank now that you mention it.

Which leads me to my next question. What the easiest way to do a water change? And is it as often as freshwater?
