Not to be rude or anything but the op said it was labeled as a nigerian bichir not a lap,
but i see what your getting at, i've seen them labeled as palmas as well as nigerian.
Sold for around $10 or so in small fish stores, Edit: i mean't petsmart. A full grown wc
senegal is very impressive. i have a 3 yr old sen that kinda stopped growing at ~8-9".

Laps are generally sold/labled as nigerian laps. It's where they're most common collection point is. I've never seen or heard of a senegal labled as a nigerian bichir.
