Jaws. I had this happen on a couple of pieces of driftwood that I had in my 100. Mine was like a whitish/grayish color like yours. It's harmless. Mine took about a week or 2 then it just disappeared. It came back a month ago but very very little. And I cleaned my driftwood also. But it didn't cloud my water at all.
