Yeah, just keep an eye on him and see if there ends up being any more. Luckily, whatever it was, it was external.

Thx for all your help (both threads) at this point i am almost hoping it was an anchor worm atleast i would know what it is lol

Dont think it was a worm though cuz i heard/felt a crunching

Did you examine it after you pulled it out? Perhaps it was just a thorn or something that has been embedded for a while.

Could have definitely been something like that. I tried to inspect it and take pics but it was way to small. The orange looking thing sticking out kind of disintegrated was like a slime. After that I had to dig a little to get the "thing" out. Heard a small crack/crunch/pop.....freakin wife was too busy putting the kids to sleep wanted her to take a vid so i could have shown you guys

Owens maybe your right or im just wishful thinking. It looks like whatever is left is the same color of the fish.... maybe just a weird growth and something was stuck to it ?

How long you guys think i should leave him in qt ? I usually treat with pg and wait until they are eating, fish has shown no interest in food but thats not surprising
