How can you tell it's a female? Pretty sure "she" hasn't been attacked.
I bred GTs for a while, had over 6 pairs from different locale, the one in the picture looks like a female, no doubt at all. That fish looks big enough to be already looking like a male.
Looks like HE has rectal prolapse. Don't green terror males look like that more colorful than the female?
It isn't a rectal prolapse... That's it's female reproductive organ popping out.

I breed fish as well not green terrors but I thought males were the better looking ones than the females am I wrong? More colors and brighter orange?

100 percent female about to lay eggs. Here's my male for comparison. Not the best picture, but notice the more pronounced forehead. Also the male breeding tube is much smaller than the females. You will never see it unless you are looking for it.

Have you ever seen a male Green Terror before? It's WAY more colorful than the female in the picture.

Yes and no....I have a female that looks JUST like her. They can be pretty androgynous sometimes....just nname it "Pat" :)

yea it's a female for sure and Gt can lay eggs pretty young Idk how big the Gt is in the pic but she looks pretty young
I had a pair that spawned at 3".....very young lol

Is it possible for a con and gt to breed? She dances in front of him and they are guarding a spot.
the odds are astronomically low if even possible at all.

Most cichlids will breed with each other. The eggs hwever may not be fertile. We had an Oscar and a Texas breed but eggs were no good. In a few days they will likely spawn if they haven't aready.

Also cichlids will generally only produce viable fry if they breed within the same family. Gt's fall under "aequidens" therefore they will only produce fry with other aequidens cichlids such as the blue acara.
