Lfs asked me what to do about this. I told them I'd find out because I don't know.
They said it's been getting worse. They are limited on medication. Been treating with pimafix. I told them to just put some toothpaste on it .

I've had two fish get something like this not too long ago. Never found put what it was. Both fish died, not sure if it was related or not.

Usually fish that get sick at the store don't make it. But the person that asked me asked because they don't want it to die. So... Thought I'd try lol.

I did some reading on ulcers. So unless someone says different, I'll take them the maracyn tomorrow.

Parasites are actually a major cause of ulcers, namely flukes

looks like an ucler. If the fish is doing well you can treat with topical betadine swabs or hikari bio bandage. If you want to treat the whole tank I would go with oxytetracycline.

Like Wallua Boy said there maybe an underlying cause for the ulcer
