What is this!?!?

looks like some type of ascarid perhaps


I also thought it looked like a little tiny mealworm or similar species of beetle larvae
Never heard of an ascarid but in my old thread that I posted about the thing Oddball identfied it as a nematode.
The op has not posted an answer yet but I do not see any legs on his creature.I thought I saw a glimpse of some in the first photo but a milipede's legs are not hard to see.

ascarids are roundworms, but roundworms consist of dozens, maybe hundreds of species......nematodes I believe are pretty similar or in the same family - i'll have to check, but I think nematodes are usually found in the fish's muscles and tissue

Sometimes I come across one while filleting a fish or cutting bait
 
this thing is different it's segmented - segmented worms fall intoa completely different family than non-segmented worms, which some are parasitic. This thing doesn't look parasitic to me
 
Yes sir, Ive just never seen a red one but I believe there are 1000's of species and possible red ones
