I got a killer deal yesterday. A free 3ft long x 25" tall x 18" wide tank. 65-70gl? The stand, glass tops, a water changer, and a bunch of random extras. Some brand new. All for free:)

One thing has me confused. I know it's an air pump, but how does it work? There is no cord or a place to plug a cord in. So my guess would be its battery operated. But where do the batteries go? Lol
Does anyone have one like this? I need help figuring it out so I know if it's worth keeping or if I should toss it.

Try unscrewing the knob it could also be the regulator but see how far it will go counter clockwise. If that doesn't work try to pry it apart from the frame.

Looks like the source voltage is two double A batteries, I agree with tlindsey tlindsey 's troubleshooting instructions.

The knob won't turn. I'll have to find a pliers to get it to move. I hope I don't break it. lol I tried unscrewing the clip at the top and that didn't do anything. I also looked it up online and that was no help. I feel so dumb right now. Haha

Ok, that worked! I undid the screw again and used the pliers to turn the knob. And it opened up. Sadly it does not work. I used vinegar to clean the contacts, but it still didn't work. That's a bummer:/

It doesn't work? Wow!

That's surprising because it looks like it's in really good condition: no physical damage, interior looks clean, wires look like in good shape, rubber looks relatively new, etc.

I realize you cleaned it, but items with no moving parts normally show severe evidence it will not work.

Do you get anything (like a hum?) Are the batteries in full contact with the device?

Oh well. Bummer indeed!

Still, the rest is a great deal. Nice move.

Nvm on the air pump. I just heard one and those are super loud.

Lol, yes I heard this brand is very noisy. If I needed it for moving fish or an emergency I wouldn't care how loud it was.
I too am shocked it doesn't work. It is in great shape, with no signs of damage. Not even any corrosion. Maybe the batteries I used were bad too. I'll check again later, but so far I'm not holding out much hope. I didn't even get a slight noise out of it. And the batteries were in full contact.

BPAP! These things can be a life saver (literally) in a power outage. They're also used by fishermen to keep live bait in a bucket alive.
