I bought this puffer as a pao suvattii, which is obviously wrong, so what is it? I think it is a monotrete cambodiensis.

The body shape and mouth look off. I went back to the shop today and was informed that the staff was “concerned “ about putting their hands in the tank. They had 4, but the other 3 were gentle. I just got a psychopath.
So it seems to be a taxonomic mess. Lots of pseudonyms. I think it is a pao cambodiensis, that apparently to be the current classification as of 2013.
So mr. Murder lips has eaten some massivore pellets. He spit the first one out after eating a tiny little bit, but he ate the next few just fine about a week later. I trained him to eat small pieces of night crawlers from some feeding tongs, and then substituted the massivore for the worms. So he is eating worms, Swai chunks, massivore, krill, and whole frozen native mummicogs (sp?). Honestly, it’s fun watching him eat, it’s pretty brutal. Is there anything else fun to feed him? I’m not talking about wanting to see an animal suffer, so no living foods, except maybe ghost shrimp and the like.
He did bite me when he dropped a pellet and I had to go in with the feeding tongs and get it. He went to the other side of the tank and then stalked me in the plants. Thankfully he didn’t get a good purchase so I wasn’t injured.
