I was in the LFS one time and they had a huge pleco (had to be 18") and I go "wow look at the huge pleco!" and this little kid, maybe 4 years old or so, looks up at me, dead serious, and goes "it's a plecostomus". It was awesome

So was the whole fight over fish or was that just the tip of the iceberg? Talk to them any way you want; they're fish, they won't care

i assume you are talking about the "ex friend" again. i would drop that loser like a hot potato and never hang out with him again. he is just a negative person, and why torture yourself by trying to be his friend? so he can put you down and make you feel stupid? no thanks. just cut him out of your life, and tell him you dont want to be friends anymore.

Yeah..I had to vent...lol. I bit my tongue soo many times with him and now that we are not friends anymore, I had to vent about it, get it out. None of my other friends would understand bc they don't have fish. I guess, its the fact that he acted like he knew all there is to know about fish. I thought he did until I began to learn and became a hobbyist myself.

LOL, thats different. I had no clue about fish or anything until I decided to get small little tank. And I read and read and read and asked a million questions before I began.

FYI. Guppies are better off without salt.

Hehe, yeah I am completely guilty of talking to creatures. Hmm..about the guppies, interesting. I have mostly read that they require salt.

Originally, the fights started over fish tanks and in between the fish tank fights, were the fish fights lol.
I, first, got a small tiny 6 gallon tank, kept 2 little sunset platy's in them. I was sooo worried and paranoid that they would die. I had read about fish tanks and fish, but still scared. Because I was completely new at this and felt clueless, then I eventually I got another 10 gallon with african dwarf frogs and snails. Then, I just slowly would get bigger tanks and more "complicated" fish. He was upset every time I got the bigger tanks, and then was mad about the kind of fish I would get. He has a 10g and a 16g, and was basically mad that I had bigger tanks and different fish than him. I guess he felt entitled that he should have the tanks and the fish, since he has been a hobbyist longer than me. (I wrote about this in a diff thread) lol.

Navygirl76 is absolutely right, he is nothing but negative energy. I promise I am done now. I just had to release and vent my frustrations.
