Red and Green Grand Sumo, very nice lighting, and a Canon Rebel T2i with 50mm lens. Had to do my research but im told theres nothing superficial about it...

Don't be so sure when people say "all natural" that's what they mean, though I don't believe what's been said is entirely true - whos going to admit to hormone use when questioned?. Grand Sumo advertise their products as having 'High Astaxanthin' (not to mention hump enhancing food - lol). It comes as no surprise that a popular Flowerhorn product was used here (as I guessed in my original reply) as their fishkeeping morals tend to be wayward.

When it all comes down to it, that's not how the fish is meant to look. If that impresses you any more than a well kept genuinely coloured S. leucosticta then I pity your involvement in the hobby (that's not an attack on the OP).

I was told Sumo was nothing but a color and size enhancement. So, no didnt think that was gonna steroid my fish up at all and "make him look like he "wasnt" suppose to." But.. I see by your "experience" (post wise) and you can disrespect any man thats not of your stature in this forum. Just felt a little disrespected in the fact you said "If that impresses you any more than a well kept genuinely coloured S. leucosticta then I pity your involvement in the hobby." Statement. My thread count..or my title dont have much to do with how i feel, or what i know about Cichlids. thought ppl were here to help, not pity them for a question they knew nothing about...

It wasn't an attack on you as I said, but if you want to take it as such, whether you want to believe it's because of your post count/title/whatever, then so be it.

I'm entitled to both hold and express my opinion, especially as an experienced keeper of Satanoperca leucosticta. I fail to see how my post count bears any relevance to the discussion.

Thats all I was complainin about when I wrote that. Forgive me. Was drinkin a lil too much and just felt like you were taking a shot at me personally. Now that im thinking clearly Ide assume that when you said "I pity "YOUR" involvement in the hobby." You were just using the word "YOUR" about people in general. And I also assume that OP is short for like topic starter/ thread starter? Since you said "It wasn't an attack on you as I said." So again. My bad if I came off offensive for no reason at all. Take care man.

Correct, OP is Original Poster. Probably harsh words to begin with, but I have a personal disdain for basically all non-natural morphs, species, and in this case, colouration due to diet.

Agreed. Too many hormonal, colored enhanced "fake" fish out there these days IMO as well. I just had the Sumo from owning an FH to be real w/ ya. I didnt even raise that S. in the pic in the 1st place. Heres a pretty good shot I got today of my two Jurupari (I believe) sizing each other up. Thought it was a pretty cool shot. Anyways take care.
