Yes, you can force-feed but it is a last resort. Puffers can go very long w/o food. You definitely should have QTed this fish.

lol he is in quarantine, thier is just a fox face and a tang with him too in quarantine.....the main tank is next.

porc puffers aren't the best idea to get young

i was having a convo with an unusually smart lfs guy who seemed like he should be on here, who knows maybe he is

i asked him whether he would go with a porc. or a dog-face puffer as a juvy for a 125 pred tank and he said he'd definitely go w/ a dogface

when i asked why he said because 2 or 3 out of every 5 porcs. they get in have problems, he may have internal parasites

treat with prazi-pro (what you should be doing in quarantine)

soak food in garlic

wait a day or two, then try some live shrimp (go one at a time so the shrimp don't suffocate in their equivalent of a poison gas tank if nobody eats them)

EDIT:also, nitrites should be ZERO, not 10

thanks for the info...made a mistake nitrite is zero but the nitrates is 10...i was told it's good between 0-10. I'll get some prazi pro tomorrow if they have it at lfs

lol well the foxface and the yellow tang are doing fine as usual, the porc still not eating. Today im gonna get (try) ghost shrimp.
