Also, flathead catfish and muskie.

On a more reasonable note, I would love to keep madtoms and sculpins.

My sculpins don't move for days unless a minnow swims by their mouth. My pumpkin colony is ready for a bigger tank and some of my favs.

In reality it seems the fish I expect the most from turn out to be the least active and interesting. The bluntnose minnows and shinners I collected to pretty much cycle and learn to keep natives turned out to be awesome. They were abundant and I wasn't too worried about losing them.

I see no use in trying bass,, walleye, big cats or essox. They are never going to be happy and just slowly waste away. It's much more challenging to keep a multi species slighty overstocked tank with balanced agression. Then watch all heck break loose when you dump in a couple dozen minnows.

Lake sturgeon for sale? They do grow rather slowly, so I can imagine if you upgraded like once every 10 years you could have one. Realistically I'd go for sterlet or some other small and hopefully not endangered sturgeon.

I've actually seen more threads about sturgeon here than I would have expected. Great to know it is possible! :D

Ive seen sturgeon at my lfs they are about 5 inches and 35 bucks... Pretty Common...

I'm also with pudgeking!!! Golden trout would be pretty cool as well as a sauger!
But my ultimate would have to be a tiger muskie in a huge planted tank!
My dream tank is to plant a giant tank for my vittatus tigerish! I have the fish so now I just need the tank. Riverbed with logs and plants all over! Still dreaming!
