What is your favorite state and country native??

I'm not American, but when I was over there visiting my fiance, we were talking about fish with her grandma, her gran was talking about this fish "croppy", not knowing what it was I went back home and looked it up, I could find nothing on it, then I saw something that mentioned Crappie, then I realised that's what she was saying. I snickered cos it's spelled comically, lol.

Anyways, I'm gonna say Crappie because it's a fish that will now always stick in my mind.

I'd also like to mention my least favourite native American fish...

I hate Mosquito fish!!! lol

Someone over here thought it would be a good idea to introduce them to control mosquitos, in hindsight they done as good a job as our native fish. As a result, they competed with our natives for food, resulting in a decline with a few of our smaller fish and Mosquito fish are now in plague proportions throughout Australia.

I don't if this is cheating or not, But my favorite native fish would have to be the Auriga Butterfly. Its from Hawaii.

they dont all look like that. those are nice breeding colors

True bumpylemon. Sunnies are like that too. I love bluespots because of the male's breeding and happy colors that look like this:

But normally they look like this:

They're both lovely, but the top one is literally eye catching.
