when you guys say python what do you meen? i don't think i've heard or ever seen one. lol

Google it. Much easier to just look at it. You hook it to a sink.

That sucks you can't get it to fit.

That's crazy. I wouldn't be keeping fish if I had do that on my 125 gallon. You just use a garden hose or buy an extension for the gravel vac

Think how hard it was to do a wc on my 150 with just a 5gal bucket taking out the water was the hard part and the strange hieght of my tank lol

I use 2 5 gallon buckets for all my tanks. I do my changes on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. I'll switch to a python (I have 2 python vacuums, just not the hose and adapters) when I get some extra money. The good part about the buckets is that I get to water my garden easily.

I tried using under gravel filters cause gravel is harder to clean. well with messy polyterus clean is a whole different meaning lol. it's like this if i'm full it's good. lol. but now that the under-gravel filter isn't working as i thought i'm just going to switch to sand. although the transition will be more work i've always wanted sand. so i guess it's just some more experience in my pocket lol.

I use python for my larger tanks and bucket for smaller tanks. For anyone that can't get their python to fit go to Lowe or home depot and get a brass adapter that fit the sink and python. For people that already have python but not long enough to reach the sink you can connect two pythons together.

i went to home depot and got a 20 gallon round bucket/tub and a movers 4 wheel dolly and its pretty easy siphon water from tank to big bucket then wheel to sliding door and dump then fill bucket use pump to get water into tank and its over
