i have a 3 bedroom home 2 people live in it with around 6 tanks my bill is around $1000 but i get around $350 back from solar panels bringing it down to $650 per quarter
Four, a 180, a 90, a 65, and a 20. The first two run fluval fx5s, and the 65 has a fluval 405, the 20 just had some run of the mill hob but they are all heated to 78-80, and the room temp this time of year is mid 60's.
I am able to separate my fish bill from my normal living bill, because of a separate line to the fish shack.
The fish bill has a range from $150 (I turn off heaters)in summer to $300, give or take, in the depth of winter.
I am gradually switching to LED lights, and use water change water to flush the toilet in the fish shack, and to water the garden.
hey not sure if this has been mentioned, I know kilowatt prices vary, but have you seen a differance living in old homes compared to new ones. say a older 70-80s house compared to one built in 2000+
