what is your philosophy on aggressive fish together?

Every time I've removed the dominant fish there's always a young upstart ready to step into his shoes. Although aggression levels do drop

i have had great success with aggressive fish in the same tank except for a cuban.. breeding jags,red terrors, green terrors , large male flowerhorn and breeding pair of Red Headed synspilum the last not aggressive but they all co exist with no fighting what so ever. i did move the flower horn out to another tank with a veija mix female and eggs have bee layer so it all depends on the fish
