I hope so. Kept a lot of cichla, but never one like this. Far from being a hybrid and close to being what I think it is. I'm just waiting for him to "color up" and settle in. But I think he is at that stage now. So, I can hope he stays the color he is. (I vented him, so he is a he). I wounder if tank light color take would duel him or not...I wonder...hmmmmmmm.
I had a Paretroplus menarambo, (Pinstripe Damba), thought to be extinct in the wild...thats pretty rare.
Siamese tiger datnoid very nice and a little tricky to distinguish between Indonesian datnoid (IT)
My lfs has those all the time their just under amazon freshwater flounders pretty cool I would have to say my sturgeon but it died so for now I say my lenticulata pike cichlid

Those are not really that rare in my lfs they might be a bit pricy but not rare atleast were I live

Not at all rare species but rare color var. albino bn pleco next to albino variant for comparison. I have 3 males of out of 1000's that I bred. after that would be a pair of P-14 rays.
Not sure about wild but I just got a new rarity in the hobby about 2 weeks ago - -exochochromis anagenys
