and how often do you see your invisible friend?

to start;

I have an 8" BGK (black ghost knife), that i got from an MFK member for free :). The BGK is pretty shy, but that is not my shyest fish. My shyest fish is the Polypterus Retropinis or maybe P. Mokolembembe...anyway, the only time this fish will come out is when it will eat, much like the P. Weeksii.

For the record, the P. retropinis was only about the size of a toothpick when i acquired it, for free :) from Toyin. But now it is about 4-5 inches, eating frozen smelt. I believe it is about 2 to 2 1/2 years old....maybe even older.

found this photo of the P. Retropinis at one of the websites....

I have one datnoid that is quite shy.

Unfortunately my whiptail that JDman got for me.

My Datnoid is shy too, until he gets hungry.

the shyest fish i ever had was that striped raphel catfish! i only see it when i vaccum the gravel. what a waste they look nice but looked dead so had to get rid of it.

My adonis or baby zebra pleco is my most reclusive. However, my royal knife is the worst, he won't come out hardly for at all.

My two wild caught Oscars are pretty shy they prefer to be fed when the lights are out. :nilly:

My Sydontis Alberti.
