What is YOUR shyest fish....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
in each different tank, or out of all of 'em?

i'd have to say my otocinclus in my 5G.

kuhli loach !! I only see him once in a blue moon...Anyway I consider him dead at the moment i bought him...he is an apparition:nilly:

My shyest fish..toss up between my Pleco (either a Clown Pleco (Panaque Maccus) or a Tiger Pickoltia (Panaque Sp L002) and my Banjo Catfish. I see more of my 2 Banjos, but only as they lay about the bottom of the tank with their heads buried. I see the Pleco everyonce in a while swimming about after I kill the tank light and the room light and the tank is lit by the light from just the Newt tank.

But worse than either of those was my female Firemouth. Beautiful but Oh so boring. She spent her time either hiding, hiding, or sitting behind something so no one could see her. She went to the LFS to make room for fish that actually stayed out to be seen.

OBIO

I have 3 really shy fish. My 4-line pictus and both of my choco plecos.

Ofcourse the raphael catfish until he hit 8"(now not so bad), my brackish Snowflake Eel and my brackish Dragon Goby. I have never seen the Eel or Goby eat and i've had them for about 2 1/2 years. They get bigger some how but i dont know how. Oh did i mention that when i bought the goby he only had one eye.

it would be my tire track eel

The way you said that seems youre implying he has more than one now:confused:

well my female con used to be extreamly shy until i put her in the 90 with the other fish. so ill have to go with my bullhead. they hide all day unless they are fighting over a resting spot or if they see food. great fish though

I don't have many types of fish that are shy by nature - so my shyest fish would be my Gold Tulip Eels, but I do see them all the time. It's just that they think they're hidden lol
Other than that, one of my two piebald Siamese Algae eaters.
