What is Your Tank Ideal Temperature?

I know the general rule of thumb is 78F - 84F as an ideal temperature range for tropical tanks. I'm trying to save energy since running three tanks have raised the cost of the utility bill. Is 79F for a community of bichirs, angelfish, clownloaches, and Indo Datnoid too cold?

I keep my Niger catfish at 77, but Angelfish do better at 80 degrees or higher, in my experience. I think 79 should be fine.

I keep all of my tanks at about 78-79. In todays times, every little bit helps, BUT when I move this year, into the other apartment, watch out. Electric is included in the rent.

I keep all of my tanks at 82..

I got a 125 in a poorly insulated room and a 20gal. Plus a 75 gal in the den. Whenever I do waterchange the temperature fluctuate about 10F - 15F degrees. I used to run all my tanks at 82F - 84F but now I lowered it to 79F - 82F. According to my old lady, she said the bill went down a bit so I guess it did made that big of an impact. I'm from S. Cali so utility is really expensive here.
