Hello, what is the best way to make a above ground pond with 2x4's and the strongest way with wood to hold the pressure of water....If you could lay some blueprints out that would helpful..Im doing in in my office, I live on a concrete slab so that is the start of it...Anything will help me out, Im goona start ASAP and need some morale!!! What is the best way to make it work..2x4's, plywood??? bracing?????? cinderblocks??? Please post pics thanks again!!!
 
thanx Dr Joe (you are the greatest mod ever!!!) but thoe links doesn't show me what i really need to know.....how would I frame it out?? i have filters that im taking off my 300 gallon now a sump and fx-5..Im gonna use a liner ..But my main thing is the support on the outside..im gonna use 2x4's..thanks
 
I did mine in interlocking landscaping brick with pink styro insulation inside the brick, then liner.

i have a 300gal rubbermaid pond.... in basement.. so easy... :D and one outside too..

did you have to use any mortar or other material to hold bricks together?
 
NO. They have lips on the bottom of the back side. I'm a renter. I explored quite a few different options and this was the most appealing. Might be heavy but the doorway to my basement is stupid. This option worked great spacewise.
