I think it's great that people are not ashamed to put up self portraits.

Your picture is quite nice too!

Yet I never mentioned any names, you just assumed. What again is there about people discussing vegetariamism that scares you so much all you can do is throw up meaningless posts and attack people. I feel sorry that your life is so small and meaningless you feel the need to hurl insults at strangers. That is a classic fear response, seek help and thanks for playing.

Now I've made black bean burgers, but never cupcakes. Can you shoot me the recipe?

You got it, you'll have to wait until I get home from work though! I'll do it tonight (if I remember!) they kind of stink when you make them (literally, it smells bad) but when they bake they are crazy delicious. AND A GOOD SOURCE OF PROTEIN!

Calls people out for flaming...Insults those same people apologetically.

Shhhh! Don't say the word protein too loud around here while talking about veggies. The lunatic fringe will have their pitchforks out after you too.

This entire thread is nothing more than buffoonery posing as an intelligent discussion. The so-called stated facts and numbers cited in different parts of this thread are more incorrect and based on propaganda than fact. I am neither vegan nor vegetarian. I certainly don't eat 5lbs of meat a day and never have. That's an absolutely incredulous amount of meat. I eat meat once a week if I am lucky.

Due to health concerns, meat is very limited in my diet. By eating intelligently and not believing the propaganda from any quarter, allows me nutritional and tasty meals. The concern is really not about what you eat as much as it is about how much you eat of what item. Moderation in diet and exercise within the limits of your ability is what decides how healthy you are, NOT whether you are vegan, vegetarian or omnivore. No diet is healthy if you are not getting needed nutrients.

Free-range is another joke. When you see all the junk and medicines the FDA requires before any animal can be marketed will make you realize that free-range isn't any more special than factory farming. Even the fish you eat or buy at the restaurant or butcher may not be the fish you are actually getting. There is a real bait-and-switch problem in fish marketing. Without the head, tail or skin, it can be difficult to properly ID the fish you think you are getting. In some areas of the US, 55% of the fish are mislabeled, usually intentionally.

And even if you get the fish requested, a lot of the farmed fish is unhealthy.
