Agreed. I have no trouble tearing raw meat with my teeth. Raw liver is actually pretty good. It's kind of creamy, like milk.

Total cholesterol (mg/dl)Less than 200 low risk, 200-239 borderline high risk, more than 240 high risk. Liver produced serum cholesterol is LDL and HDL, HDL returns cholesterol to the liver and LDL transports cholesterol to the cells. Optimal LDL is less than 100 with over 190 being very high, low HDL less than forty and high over sixty. A diet high in fat and particularly saturated fat increases total serum and LDL. Polyunsaturated fats decrease serum, LDL, and HDL. Monounsaturated fats decrease serum , LDL and increase HDL. Total fat 35% of calories, More than 7% of total calories saturated fatty acids promote heart disease, omega six promotes blood clots, anti an inflammatory responses, omega three promote cardiovascular, immunity, blood pressure and lipids. 5 to 10% of calories for omega six and 0.6 to 1.2% mega three fat intake. Amino acids from protein are used in place of carbohydrates for energy. Cholesterol is noncaloric thus providing no energy. It really don't matter to what you eat calorie control, adequacy, balance, moderation, and variety promotes good health so as along as you consume what ever it takes to provide the needed essential and nonessential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals according to AMDR and RDA life should be long and healthy so we can worry about all the crappy things that are injected into what we eat or how close the chickens are that lay eggs, or how the govt sucks, or how they are putting license plate readers on the freeway and drones in the air to make the US more safe or how our leadership is raising interest rates on college education for our youth, to speak frankly I'm hungry and want to eat tritip cooked in an Asian style with sticky rice and some bear bile and hot pepper sauce to dip it in.

Carbs 4 calories per gram, protein 4 calories per gram, alcohol 7 calories per gram, fat 9 calories per gram all of which are macronutrients and provide energy. Or produce ATP.

You forget that if LDL is the fluffy type, it is harmless. And 50 years ago total cholesterol of 240 was very normal and accepted. I'm afraid that you are not thinking scientifically, but instead looking to drug companies for your information. It's okay to have been lied to. It's not okay to perpetuate the lie once you've heard the truth. High cholesterol is a good thing. Time to own that, as a community, we were wrong. Cholesterol numbers are, at best, just an indicator. They cause nothing.

This guy knows facts. FACTS.
Not stupid articles that aren't even credible.
I watched the whole 1 hour 10 minutes and 13 seconds of this video.
Amazing.
People are just so stubborn, prideful, and uneducated to open their minds to something more humane and different from what they were taught.

Sorry to not be a victim of that propaganda. The funny thing is that you have the internet, so you have no good excuse for not knowing the truth. Animal fat is what we are designed to eat, it's why we store it on our bodies. Vegans suffer from a lot of neurological problems from lack of B vitamins, good proteins and fats.

Ancel Keys omitted several countries from his study because they went against his theories about heart disease. He completely ignored France, even though they eat high-fat food all day long and have almost no heart disease. It was this fake study, followed by others, that turned the media against saturated fat. So we quit eating it, and everybody got fatter.

Studies that talk about "red meat" are usually lumping processed lunch meat, salami and worse into the same category. I've even seen studies that call cheeseburgers "red meat", but cheeseburgers are white flour, sugar, soy and salt with only a trace of beef to begin with!

If you can turn off Fox news long enough to look at some real science, you'll find out that people who live on animals and plants and avoid artificial fillers and chemicals, and rancid seed oils like canola and soybean, are the people who live the longest and have the best health.

The power is yours! Go forth, and find the truth!
