What kind is my lonely datnoid?

I've suspected something along the lines that the silver "American Tigers" are the least favored dats by collectors in Asia and as such were probably the first to be readily offered up to be shipped here many years ago.

Yes, in Thailand, AT are not called 'tigers', in the local vernacular, but what equates to 'striped perch'.

But they would usually not be exported, but be sold at the markets as food.

AT are possibly my favourite dats.

We've probably covered this before but have you ever kept them in brackish water?

We lost power 2 days after hurricane Milton. The power was off for 36 hours. We ran on a generator. Overnight there was no night light in the fish house but pitch black. I think as a result we lost a nice dat, likely a self-inflicted death in a way crowded 240 gal tank in complete darkness.

10 inches. Greg's dat. Had been with us for 14 months, from 5"-6".
