What kind is this??

Gold nuggets are a different fish from the one pictured. Gold nuggets are L018, L081, L177. They are black with yellow spots and yellow seams.

I found the L001 to be commonly known as the gold spot pleco...so is that the common name if this pleco then?

Gold spot is one common name for these plecos. A more common name for the L001 is... Common pleco.

Mine is called the super slick fast yellowy spotted brown killer shark pleco. Most common names mean nothing with plecos.
