what kind of bullheads?

i still do not know, because what just threw me off again was that in the second set of pictures, look at the adipose fins on the two different fish. They look completely different. And you said you caught them, all of the fish in the same area have pretty much the same coloration. Those two fish have completely different colors. take pictures of them in the tank. This way the fins are all spread out and it gives us a better look at the fish.

but i do agree that the bullhead in the blue net in the first set of pictures looks like a brown. so i think those are two different species. One brown, and another speckled. I just looked back and it did not say any thing about you catching them, but i assumed you did with the nets. So pictures of the two fish in the tank through the glass, and i think that will help a lot.

On the page 2 pics, the second one to me looks like a def. spotted, thats what mine look like, as for the first picture Im thinking maybe brown

also there are spotted bullheads in florida rivers, I dont know where you are but they are found in a few

I have caught a pitch black yellow bullhead and in the same day caught a light yellow one in the same spot. Bullheads are extremely variable within populations. And, BTW, there isn't a speckled bullhead. There are black, brown, yellow, snail, flat and spotted bullheads. White catfish are also in the genus.

In the first set of pics, the first and last fish look like flat bullheads, now that I am awake. They could also be snail bullheads. Again, knowing what the color of the chin barbels are would help greatly.

the only thing the chin barbels would tell you if it is a yellow bullhead or different bullheads, because all the others have brown or black barbels instead of white or yellow
fishlvr spottedd bullheads have many nicknames so leave him alone and quite criticizing everyone

Who am I criticizing? I wasn't sure if he was talking about spotteds. That's why I posted that. I wasn't being critical of anyone. I knew that if he read that and speckled was another name for a species of bullhead, he would have said "Speckled bullhead is another name for ____ bullheads".

sorry, i meant spotted. brown and spotted.
