What kind of feeder guppies are these?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi. Welcome. OFF TOPIC!

I thinks its an endlersxguppy, few pure endlers left in existance.

Me thinks we need pics.

Guppy x Endler. (Mine. No, just kidding. not mine either.)

its just endler x feeder guppy, not pure endler.

Yeah they get mixed in with the feeders at my lfs, i call them clown guppies, i breed them for a bit, got bored and my Oscar and angel fish had a good 10 min hunting them all down.

Well either way they are pretty and well worth the 18 cents. Thanks for the input!

Next question, not sure how hard it is to find females, but originally I thought they were just pretty feeder guppies and so got some female guppies to go with them. Will they hybridize in my aquarium or is that not likely.

Right now its got 2 "endlers" and 2 fancy females (and 2 ghost shrimp and 2 apple snails)

Edit*

They look almost 100% exactly like the left one in this picture

Have the double red swordtail and the vertical black lines across the top broken by a horizontal one

It's pretty unlikely that they are pure endlers. I see male feeder guppies like that all the time. Unless you can prove somehow that they are actually endlers, don't consider them anything more than feeder guppies

I agree with Andyjs, these are not pure endlers, if they are found in feeder tanks then they are mostly likely just hybrids...so please do not called your two guppies "endlers", just called them feeder guppies.
